Professional Pilot License Training
CPL (A) Flight Pilot License
The aim of the CPL (A) training is to train the holder of a PPL (A) to become proficient in commercial air transport piloting. The privileges and conditions of the CPL holder shall be governed by Part FCL. The CPL (A) shall be completed entirely on an SEP class aircraft.
Requirements for the course are PPL (A) + 150 hours flight time.
The holder of a CPL shall hold a Class 1 medical certificate if the privileges are to be used for commercial air operations.
The total training is 25 hours of flight training. 15 hours for the holder of an IRA (A). If the student does not have an NF rating, an additional 5 hours of night flight instruction shall be flown during the CPL (A).
CPL (A) Theory Training for IR (A) holder: 200 hours of distance theory (English) + 20 hours of near field theory.
ATPL (A) Airline Pilot License
An ATPL entitles the holder to operate as a multi-pilot commander in commercial air transport.

- Class 1 Medical Certificate of Fitness
For a PPL (A) license holder:
Theoretical knowledge training as 650 hours distance theory (in English) + 65 hours proximity theory (English) + 65 hours proximity theory. A possible IR (A) or CPL (A) qualification reduces the amount of remote theory.

Engineering degree and pilot license at the same time
It is now possible to complete the Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Automation Engineering (Bachelor of Engineering) and ATPL certificate simultaneously.
It is possible to incorporate ATPL studies aimed at the flight license of Lentokoulu Pirkanmaa Oy as part of XAMK's engineering studies.
Professionals who have combined aeronautical education and electrical engineering are now in demand in the aviation industry. The cooperation between XAMK and the Lentokoulu Pirkanmaa meets this need. As a general rule, 45 credits may be included in the engineering examination for approved flying training.
The extent of the studies to be included depends on the extent of the student's flight license training. You must apply for flight training separately, you can apply before the start of your studies. Flight School Flight license training organized by Pirkanmaa is subject to a fee and is organized in Mikkeli.
